Studio Hamburg GmbH

Studio Hamburg is Germany’s leading production and service center for film and television. Founded in Hamburg in 1947, the company now serves as headquarters for an international network with business units Atelier & Technik, Consulting & Services, and Produktion & Distribution. Studio Hamburg Group employs more than 1100 full-time employees.

To produce a film, up to €1 million of funds must be released and signed for within a short period of time. To make it even harder, producers are responsible for these activities and they are usually located at several different locations or in distant foreign countries where they are difficult to reach with regular mail. Studio Hamburg has utilized a paperless system to process incoming invoices since 2005, including transaction booking in the financial accounting system with the invoice approval workflow from SAPERION.

This system has greatly reduced processing times. This has drastically reduced the time and expenses associated with processing invoices and the company no longer receives reminder letters. Since the original introduction, Studio Hamburg has greatly expanded its use of SAPERION, particularly in the areas of contract and salary management, and most recently in procurement procedures.
