Montemor-o-Novo
The Portuguese municipality of Montemor-o-Novo uses SAPERION in order to electronically capture documents and to organize administrative processes in an easier and more state-of-the-art manner. There are 18,540 residents in this city and in the 10 associated communities.

To begin with, classification, processing, forwarding and archiving of the entire correspondence are to be automated. Subsequently, a central information archive will be established to store all documents.There are plans to extend this system to other administration processes in the future. Before the introduction of SAPERION the entire distribution and management of correspondence was done on paper. By applying SAPERION, new workflows have become feasible which provide significant advantages to the staff members of the municipality and to the residents:

The number of documents contained within the document management system and in the digital archive will grow quite rapidly. Already more than 50 users work with SAPERION. Annually, the municipality expects to process more than
35,000 documents, and the digital archive will extend to in excess of 20 GB.
