SAPERION earns a spot on Gartner’s ECM Magic Quadrant 2009 and receives Windows 7 certification

Major benefits for customers and partners

SAPERION has been selected for inclusion in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Content Management 2009. This German provider of ECM software takes the approach that ECM should be an integrated platform. Their system ensures that all information is at precisely the right place within the business process. To make this a reality, corporations should take advantage of modern software and insist on a provider that delivers a high level of integration and standards compliance. SAPERION’s motto is that information and technology should be up-to-date at all times. So it should come as no surprise that SAPERION is certified for use with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

SAPERION is included in the most recently released ECM Magic Quadrant 2009, compiled by market research firm Gartner. Its consistent utilization of standards and certifications and its international presence contributed to SAPERION's inclusion in the Quadrant. Gartner’s ECM analysis helps potential users examine the international market and decide which providers have the capabilities to serve as an effective strategic partner. Gartner’s analysis of ECM manufacturers closely considers product offerings, general strategies, and planned product launches and initiatives. Their analysis also examines how the manufacturers respond to changes in the marketplace and adapt to new requirements.

“We are very proud to have once again secured a place in the Magic Quadrant," according to Rudolf Gessinger, CEO of SAPERION. “This reinforces our international presence and strength in the ECM environment."

By consistently utilizing standards like CMIS and JCR, SAPERION gives its customers and partners the independence they need and the ability to confidently handle future requirements. Henkel, a major international producer of consumer goods, provides a good example of how this works. Global industrial standards and certifications from technology partners give Henkel a great deal of independence in matters related to IT, personnel, and interaction with other companies.

"Users view certifications as indications of professionalism. A solution with tested quality and – especially – the ability to handle future requirements are major factors in reaching a decision in the selection process," according to Rudolf Gessinger. "It is our intention to give potential customers the most meaningful information we can so they can reach the right decision."

In addition to standards like JCR and CMIS, certifications for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 are important criteria when evaluating SAPERION. SAPERION is compatible with Microsoft on both the client and server sides. As a result, customers and partners benefit from using the latest technology. Staying up-to-date is a high priority at SAPERION. When SAPERION 6 was launched at the beginning of the year, it already exhibited the ergonomic user interface and the look and feel of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.  This commitment puts SAPERION at a higher international level. According to Mr. Gessinger:

“Not all international competitors insist on certifications and standards. This is one reason why we have already been included in the Magic Quadrant while other providers are still trying to get their performance up to par."
