SAPERION ends its fiscal year 2007/2008 with increased profitability, yet again
Berlin, 8th August 2008. At the close of their financial year on the 30th June 2008, SAPERION AG has once again increased profits over the previous year. The trend of double figure growth in product sales continues. The cash flow not only improved over last year but also against budget.
Major, well known companies in Germany have been added to the customer list, including Air Berlin, Social-Economy Bank, Leica Micrisystems, Q-Cells and Schenker International. Schenker alone has 10’000 users in 17 countries able to use the system simultaneously; by 2010 there will be 45 million documents in the SAPERION archive.
The Middle East is the strongest region for customer acquisitions. Al Qudra Holding, Arkan Building Contracting (both from the United Arab Emirates), EMAAR (who develop the Dubai marina), the Dubai Islamic Bank, the Ministry of Commerce (Kuwait), the Ministry of State for the Federal Nation Council (UAE) and the Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation are all on the list. Russia and Baltic states came second with installations for the Archive Department of the Tjumen Region and the Information Centre of the Russian Ministry of Justice. The Russian Test Laboratory „Echelon“ have also certified SAPERION as conforming to the Federal legal requirements for data security. This certificate allows Federal government departments and institutions to implement SAPERION as thier ECM system.
Over 100 new customers
In total, 100 new companies have been added to the customer list, increasing the number of productive installations worldwide to 1’650. This success is based not only on a broad, stable partner network offering customer specific Solutions, as well as focused and selected direct sales. This is rounded off by an increasing number of joint projects with major consultant partners such as IBM Global Services, Logica or T-Systems.
New international partners and a growing sales organisation in Asia will raise the companies profile in this region and strengthen SAPERION’S claim to be the leading European Enterprise Content Management software manufacturer.
Rudolf Gessinger, CEO of SAPERION AG: „In spite of challenging worldwide economical developments, the need for cost effective and secure information management systems is huge. We believe that investments in technology and solutions in this area will continue to increase. SAPERION AG will therefore continue to emphasise and build on security and compliance, and their application to intelligent archive solutions.”
New Products and Partnerships
On the product side, this year has seen the release of the integrated ECM platform SAPERION 5.7 and the components which can be added to this powerful solution. New partnerships and products in areas such as compliance, regulatory security and SAP integration have given further impulse to growth. In addition to this, when SAPERION events on subjects such as “electronic invoice data capture” or “principles of data access control and verification of digital documents” or even “the digital postoffice” attract over 1’000 participants, the subjects must be relevant.
Standards, Standards, Standards
Along side its innovative product development work, SAPERION is also actively participating in the work on international standards. One of which, the new European Standard for Records Management MoReq2, has been presented and discussed on a number of international Roadshows. SAPERION is also involved in the development of the standard JSR 283, which to replace JSR 170. Behind this hides a standard regulating the interface for Java Content Repositories. This industry standard will be used by manufacturers such as Day Software as well as those producing bespoke applications.
Be independant: The new SAPERION.
In autumn 2008 the talk will be around the new SAPERION 6.0. This groundbreaking Release will support companies in securing their investment by offering reduced dependence on a specific manufacturer or supplier. Through a new interface, which meets international standards such as JSR, it becomes easier to connect storage systems with differing architecture, and applications together. The new international standards will considerably ease the electronic communication between supplier and customer systems, thereby reducing costs.
