A short interview with Juan Mazzini, VP New Markets at SISTRAN Corporate, Argentina (Buenos Aires).

Why did your company decide to include SAPERION in your range of products?

We recently decided to integrate and embed SAPERION as a DMS and Archiving Solution together with our Policy Administration System. We plan to offer it to our large install base and target market in the Insurance Vertical on a worldwide basis. This software previously suffered from very limited imaging capabilities. It was a built-in proprietary component.

Which are the main advantages that SAPERION has over other similar solutions?

SAPERION has much more robust, scalable, and secure archiving capabilities. It provides tremendous flexibility towards workflow implementation. In addition, out-of-the-box integration with common desktop tools like e-mail, Microsoft Office, and Sharepoint are standard features. In general, we preferred to partner with a company like SAPERION that focuses on DMS and archiving so we can offer our customers a superior combined solution.

Which SAPERION modules does SISTRAN currently offer or plan to offer?

We offer DMS, Archive, Workflow, e-mail archiving, and Office integration.

What are the key factors and main benefits of SAPERION for your customers in the insurance industry?

We believe that its broad functionality and greater scalability, combined with concurrent user-based pricing, will be key reasons for customers to choose SAPERION over other solutions. In particular, SAPERION will easily resolve issues related to collaboration and security, process compliance, like that for SOX and Solvency II, and customer service.

In terms of customer benefits, where and how will they save time and money?

We think the automated application-entry process will save money. Each insurance company spends approximately $150.00 to print, scan, re-key, and copy each application. The claims process also has potential for savings through increased speed, starting with the notice of loss and appraisal and continuing through to settlement and payment. At the reinsurance end, SAPERION can help manage and control contracts with reinsurers and will provide a rapid and easy and reliable way to share contracts with authorized officers within the company.
